I just have to prod you toward The Bible Project again today. In their current Process Series, the most recent offering is a video called, The Habit of Open-Mindedness. It’s only four minutes long so you can literally catch it while you’re heating up leftovers in the microwave.
Throughout our lifetimes of going to church and listening to teachers who may or may not be spirit-led, we each have some ideas on which we have built our faith. And they may or may not be true or Biblical. So the guys at The Bible Project pose this question: How do we decide which paradigms are helpful and which ones we need to get rid of?
In a very short time, Tim gives us several pitfalls and pre-conceived notions that tend to trip us up as we open our Bibles to read. It’s extremely important to develop this habit of open-mindedness. Rather, we desire anticipation of learning something new and totally surprising as we study God’s Word.
I highly recommend that you click the link and watch the video. (It will take you to YouTube.) And be sure to let me know what you think in the comments on the website or on Facebook.
