It will be quite a while before we discuss the book of Proverbs next year on the Lifting Her Voice Podcast, and more specifically, Proverbs 31. It’s a beautiful discourse describing a Godly woman, wife and mother, and one that I hope we all reach for.
I was shopping on Faithgear.com the other day, and I saw a tee-shirt printed with Proverbs 31:10. It said, “Worth far more than rubies.” It surprised me with equal amounts of joy and sadness.
Certainly joy to know what God thinks of a wife of noble character. For God, my husband, and for those to whom I am a witness in this life, I strive to be that woman of integrity. I miss the mark more often than I care to admit, but in His mercy, with every blunder comes resolve to try again.
I was also struck, however, by the thought that there are so many women in this world who need to hear and see and know this verse. They do not know they are valued by God.
I want to be an encouragement to those women who may not know they are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). We all know a woman who needs to hear that.
Would you share the podcast with a woman you know today? We find truth when we open the Word of God together, and there is no greater encouragement than that.
I put the link to that tee-shirt on my Marketplace page at Lifting Her Voice.
