Would you pray for us?
About a year ago, we started planning a trip to London with Mitch’s family, our girls, and some close friends. I love Mitch’s family. I shamelessly made them my own from the very beginning and I know nothing of the usual stories about in-laws. It’s a joy for us to get together and especially this time since several have never been to Europe. We have been so excited, sending out little newsletters, exploring excursions and the culture.
However, I suppose I don’t need to say that most of the reservations were made before Covid-19. We’ve been pretty relaxed about it, thinking surely travel will open up before we go. We still have a few months, but with every news story about travel restrictions, the less relaxed we are.
I hope it doesn’t sound too self-serving to ask you to remember us in prayer. There are so many who are suffering during this pandemic; we are grateful for every provision. That said, our prayer is that He would make a way for us to go as planned and humbly ask that you join us in that prayer.

I know the lengths you have gone to making this a trip of a lifetime with your family and friends. It is exciting researching for trips and being able to offer so many adventure choices! Our brother, Rick, is headed on his yearly adventure with Tim in about a month or so. This year’s destination is Portugal. Our daughter, Julie, had flights to Africa in August, but yesterday found out Lufthansa had cancelled some flights. She was actually relieved. My passport expired during March and sits in a drawer. I am wondering about all the other countries and travel between them. What is it like out in the world…..the UK? Prayers for your trip to go off as planned.

I so hope Rick and Tim get to go. Mitch and I are very interested in discovering Portugal too. The struggle at the moment, because of the current surge, is that the EU is not allowing US tourists in. The UK on the other hand, will allow tourists, but requires a 14-day quarantine. This turns a week-long vacay into a 3-week trip, which most of us cannot do. But things seem to change constantly and we have a BIG God, so we are hopeful. I promise…we will proceed with caution. Thanks for your prayers.
